How do you find what current database trials are on offer at the Library?Well, the Library has added a new Database Type – “Trial” – so you can now easily filter by trials, as shown below. We have also added the “Video” type to distinguish Lynda.com and Dance Online: Dance in Video as containing video content. This includes our current trail to Bloomsbury Fashion Central.

Welcome to the University of Lincoln! Daren Mansfield and Martin Osborne are your Academic Subject Librarians (well, if you are studying Accountancy and Finance, Advertising and Marketing, Business and Management, Economics, Events Management, Fashion Management, International Business, Modern Languages, Sports Business Management, or Tourism). They are here to support you with your research and referencing throughout your studies. If you would like to see eithet one of them then go to the profile section of your subject guide and either email or ‘book an appointment‘.
On Wednesdays they run a drop-in session from 10-11.30 on the ground floor of the David Chiddick building to answer any questions you may have about the library.
Warc.com is, of course, the one-stop shop for advertising and marketing research which covers a vast range of data and information useful for all assignments. The database is found via library.lincoln.ac.uk > Find > Databases > W > Warc.com. Case studies are the most practical way of linking theory to practice. Theory, when treated in isolation, does not serve its true purpose without being tested in the real world. Warc.com is able to show you whether it does work or not.
In March 2018, the Library and Student Life put on a week of activities in the Freezone, including free massages, meditation, drop-ins with the Advice Service, Wellbeing, free herbal tea and fruit. Have a look at our video for more..
Acquiring report writing skills is such an important element of work and study. During the preparation for this library workshop I came across The University of Leicester’s Hate Crime Project and the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry, which are groundbreaking reports demonstrating how important they are in today’s society. Not only that, they are examples of best practice which we all hope to aspire to. No small task though.
This presentation is a compendium of various sources from Oxford Brookes University to University of Reading, et al.
These new books have recently arrived in the Library for the Lincoln International Business School, and there’s always an eye-catching title that inspires further reading. This week it is Scheinbaum & Close’s (eds.) (2018) The dark side of social media: a consumer psychology perspective. What one would you choose?

We have recently acquired EBook Central, which is a vast collection of electronic books that significantly boosts our business library provision. It is easy to use and indeed, colourful – you are able to limit your results by selecting the left-hand side of the page, including by author. Please provide us with some feedback about this new acquisition.
We’re delighted to announce a new eBook platform called EBook Central, which provides a huge range of electronically available books. To prove this point, I searched for ‘marketing communications’ and received over forty thousand results. On the left-hand side of the screen you will be able to select a date range, subject area, or a report.
To find this database, all you need to do is to go to the Library website > Find > Databases > E > Ebook Central. Please provide us with your feedback.
We are delighted to announce a new accessible-friendly eBook platform, Bibliotech, which is available via the Library website > Find > Databases > B > Bibliotech. At the moment it includes several study skills eBooks which you are welcome to download, and in the near future we hope to expand this collection to cover high-demand books, some of which have not been available as electronic versions before. This is a major step forward in being able to deliver our most popular print titles in an electronic format, and eliminating the stress of waiting in a queue for a highly-prized core text book that it is always on loan.
